Since 1980 Elke Schloo travels regularly to Guatemala where she works on art projects and
thus became the first resident artist of La Galería. "I remained true to the work with paper, working
from the material, tearing, gluing and adding other materials, plant parts, plastic, light. Currently I
work with textiles and paper. When does textile
turn into drawing, virtually a regression to thread
and color."
